bummer of a drive!!!
i just read your trip plan and i wanted to let you know 4 out of the 5 state you'll travel in are SUPER boring!!!!! we have driven from Kansas City, MO to Maple Grove and Iowa is really really boring!!! OK isn't so exciting, TX won't be very scenic, and Kansas is……. Kansas.
hopefully you'll have plenty of stories to listen to on your ipod because after a while even your music starts to sound anoying. I listened to ESPN radio a TON on our drive from PA to MN because you get all kids of different people calling in and talking about football, baseball, basketball, college sports, etc… so i was pretty entertained with that! maggie isn't so thrilled with ESPN radio so i wouldn't recommend it for you adrienne (unless you are a huge sports fan, which i'm guessing your not
). so far i have not heard Gray's Ananomy on the radio so you'll just have tape the show and listen to the audio in the car!
well, now that you have all my worthless ideas you can really enjoy your long drive! we're excited to have you guys in MN and we'll have a bunch of people ready to help you unload so its not just us! talk to you soon!
dan
Yeah, load up the ipod with podcasts and maybe get a couple audiobooks from http://www.audible.com (or iTunes, I guess).

yea i have homers - the iliad, charles dickinson - tail of two cities, chronicles of narnia, odysseys, and several books i haven’t ever heard of. as well as a bunch of movies and everybody loves raymond to listen to…..nothing to exciting but it will pass the time. oh and i did your idea earlier dan because i copied the entire 1st season of “friends” onto adriennes ipod so she could listen to them on the drive….she’s seen them enough to know whats happening without looking.

do you guys have radios or something you are gonna use to talk while driving? cell phones may go in and out of reception while driving. are you gonna program your GPS for directions getting here?

yea i’m gonna program my gps for the trip, it’s super useful especially with ETA’s and picking out places to stop. as far as the radios go i researched them and found some good cheap ones but after buying all the Christmas gifts for people and what not i think I’ll save on the budget in that area. if you wanna mail yours to me for the trip I’ll pay the shipping.
